Cooking Steps
In a bowl 1/4 cup sugar, 1/3 cup butter, 2 tablespoons honey and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Carefully cut each bun horizontally and spread the butter mixture evenly over the cut side of the bottom buns, then top with the top buns.
Place the buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter and brush evenly over the tops of the buns.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
Bake the buns in a preheated oven until golden brown (8-10 minutes).
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, stirring constantly until smooth, about 1 minute.
Remove the mixture from the heat and add powdered sugar, hot water, vanilla, and salt. Brush the warm buns evenly with this mixture and serve immediately.
