Cooking Steps
Peel and core of granny smith (or other acidic) apples.
Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F)
Transfer the apples to a baking pan, and bake at 170°C (340°F) for about 20 minutes, until tender, or place in a bowl set over simmering water and cook until tender.
Blend in batches until smooth, and pass through a sieve.
Place in a large saucepan, add sugar, and cook over high heat, stirring very frequently.
Test the jam for doneness. If it is thick and not runny, it is ready.
Cool and store in jars, in a dry dark place.
